Comfort need not be expensive

The Village Guesthouse has only eight bedrooms. Four large doubles, two small doubles and two twin rooms.
Air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV, beautiful en-suite bathrooms and Wi-Fi come as standard. All the bedrooms are designed and decorated with a modern European sensibility, yet with touches of the far east everywhere.

The six double rooms all have four poster beds. The small double rooms are smaller then the large double rooms, they have sightly smaller sized beds. The two twin bedrooms are large and cool, and the beds were designed to fit together perfectly if all the doubles are taken, or you need a really big bed. The spacious, exquisite bathrooms offer you the best shower experience in town – all the hot water is solar heated.

Breakfast is usually taken in the shady garden, Drinks can be taken in the garden, the ground floor balacony, or on the first floor veranda.

Everything in the house has been locally sourced, all the house furniture has been handcrafted in a small village near Agonda, the cane furniture comes from Karwar, the ceramics – all Indian, the linen Bombay Dyeing. The soft furnishings from Living Concept in Margao. Only the washing machine (Korea) and the Tequila (Mexico) were imported.

For the discerning traveler or holidaymaker, not the average backpacker, the Village Guesthouse offers comforts and style associated with much more expensive establishments.
